At the weekend, I don’t much feel like writing. I hit a 5-day posting streak last week. But when Saturday comes, I don’t feel the urge to write. I take it as a sign to fill the backlog with draft posts, with snippets of sentences and photos and ideas I can’t currently form into something solid just yet. The day will come.

I liked this Substack piece by Amie McNee, “We Need Men’s Art.” She opens the essay by saying she was scared to write it, and I understand what she means. But I think anyone who reads the full piece will get she is coming at the topic from a supportive place. She isn’t advocating for art by men over other demographic groups. But men shouldn’t feel they can’t be creative and share their art. Because so many times, those voices are quieted by fear.
